The Dmitri Ensemble is a new performing ensemble based around the central core of a string ensemble, committed to presenting both unjustly neglected and newly-penned works with an innovative approach to engaging concert programming. Under the direction of the co-founder and Principal Conductor, Graham Ross, it has worked alongside living composers, including Giles Swayne and James MacMillan, and has given premières in Cambridge and London.

In 2008 it launches a major new project, PASSIONTIDE 2008, with performances in Norwich Cathedral, St John's, Smith Square and St Paul's Cathedral, culminating the recording of the Ensemble's first disc for NAXOS.
